Embark on an unparalleled adventure with Discover Safaris and experience riverside game viewing along the majestic Zambezi River, surrounded by unspoiled wilderness, teeming wildlife populations, and awe-inspiring sunsets.

Rich History of Zambezi National Park

Zambezi National Park is not only a wildlife haven but also a custodian of rich cultural heritage. The park boasts several historical sites that bear witness to its long human history. Ancient smelting sites, kilns, and pottery sherds dot the park, harking back to a time when the area was home to thriving human settlements. These archaeological treasures offer a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the people who once called this area home.

This picturesque region once captivated David Livingstone, who traversed this section of the Zambezi River in 1855 en route to discovering Victoria Falls. He was so mesmerised by its charm that he wrote, “scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight,” a statement often mistakenly attributed to the falls themselves.

What Can You See in Zambezi National Park?

During your unforgettable journey through Zambezi National Park, there’s a possibility you’ll encounter an impressive array of large mammals. You may have the chance to spot majestic lions, mighty elephants, robust buffalos, elegant giraffes, and striking zebras. Additionally, your safari could bring you close to a variety of diverse antelope species, such as the graceful eland, the lofty kudu, the aquatic waterbuck, the agile impala, and Zimbabwe’s iconic sable.
