Victoria Falls Activities
Victoria Falls is the ultimate Africa tourist destination, offering not only one of the seven natural wonders of the world, but many activity options, from high adrenalin rafting and bungee jumping to leisurely river cruses and sunset dinner, dance and drumming events.
Poised on the confluence of four southern African countries, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia, and offering a wide variety of safari options to the visitor, including the Caprivi Swamps, Chobe River and Okavango Delta. It has a rich cultural history, preceding the likes of David Livingstone.
This is the playground of adrenalin seekers, the hideaway for honeymooners and an oasis for dusty safari enthusiasts. It has, in short, a little bit of something for everyone.
Victoria Falls is known as the ‘adrenalin capital of Africa’ – and for good reason. The white water rafting in the Batoka Gorge below the Falls is among the wildest commercially run water in the world. The Falls also provide a backdrop for bungee jumping, gorge swings, zip lines, and much more.
The Victoria Falls and surrounding region offers a spectacular range of wilderness habitats and wildlife viewing opportunities, from the spectacular Victoria Falls and dual nature of the Zambezi River upstream and downstream, to the varied grassland and woodland habitats which flank the river, all only a short distance from the Falls themselves.
Below the Victoria Falls the Zambezi, constrained within the narrow Batoka Gorge, is a raging torrent of rapids and rocks – offering thrill-seekers the adrenalin rush of white water rafting. Above the Falls, the wide river is calm and placid, and offers more sedate and relaxing opportunities for the visitor.
Gain an unrivalled perspective of the spectacular Victoria Falls from the air in customised helicopters with specially designed ‘bubble’ windows for viewing purposes.
Victoria Falls is not only about thrill seeking. There are enough things to keep you busy and whilst not designed to make your heart race, are still likely to take your breath away.
Livingstone, in neighbouring Zambia, offers several different activity options not available or different from those in Victoria Falls. Botswana and the Chobe waterfront is also and easy drive and is well worth the visit.
Anyone who loves the bush or wants to truly experience the natural environment at Vic Falls needs to do a trip with Charles Brightman. His work with the anti-poaching unit is inspirational and we cannot recommend him highly enough.

Discover Victoria Falls is by far the best way to experience all that this incredible part of the world has to offer. I have been to the falls several times but came away from this most recent trip with the most memorable and special experiences I could wish for.

Charles Brightman was our guide in the Zambezi National Park and his enthusiasm for nature and all things was so contagious that our 3 hour Walking Safari went for 5 and a half hours and finished only because we had a midday lunch appointment. Treat yourself to a wonderful experience.
Our bush walk with Charles Brightman was so informative and his love for the bush, animals, birds, environmental issues and the country was inspiring. And the sunset dinner was wonderful! Many, many thanks - a great service!
We engaged Charles as our private guide whilst on holiday in Zimbabwe last October. Cannot recommend him enough - he made our trip to Hwange!!
